Why we want to adopt and provide Foster Care? - Second Chance ...

coach, author, babysitter, aunt? ye

And the opportunity to give a child a forever home is slipping away. I spoke to Paul about my desire to give a safe place for broken little hearts to heal and adoption when the children who want us come along.

Paul gave many reasons that he did not think it a good idea but most were based on fear. Fear that I wasn?t healthy enough, financial fear, lifestyle fears, but I couldn?t be deterred.

I prayed. One day Paul came home and said, ?Okay, go for it girl! I can see it will be more harmful for you not to try?then any of my reasons why?we should not.?? He?d done some research,?talked to friends who are parents,?those?who have adopted and God worked on his heart.?

Paul is still afraid but he is also excited to share his transforming love of the outdoors!?Our faith will keep us strong, courageous and able to work through the ups and downs. We want our home bursting at the seams with healthy family memories that will last a lifetime.

It?s been a time-intensive, costly and emotion-filled process but we are ready.??Our home, our hearts and our?arms of love?are open. And one day when I?m gone my?children?will know THEIR Mom loved them and they will be sure?to pass that love on.

Adoption means you grew in your mommy?s heart instead of her tummy. ?Author unknown?
